Legion Post 39 receives grant

Abilene American Legion Post 39 is pleased to announce that is has been awarded a generous grant from the Community Foundation of Dickinson County in the amount of $1850 to aid  Veteran Support Services. This grant exemplifies the Community Foundation of Dickinson County's commitment to investing the initiatives that positively impact our community. 

"We beleive in the organization's ability to effect meaningful change in our community, and we are excited to see the positve outcomes of this grant. We are deeply honored to receive this this grant from the Community Foundation of Dickinson County. It will enable us to expand our efforts and further our mission to support veterans and their families. This grant is a testament to the dedication of our team and the impact we have in the community," Said Linney Clark, adjutant at American Legion Post. 

This project will enable the Legion Post 39 to have an area for veterans and their families to go find out more about state and federal benefits available, also for shelter during inclement weather at Legion Events.
