Nurturing Our Community's Future Together

At the Community Foundation, a dedicated group of individuals has been tirelessly working to uphold the age-old adage, "It takes a village." Over the past few weeks, the Community Foundation has played host to a series of informative luncheons for local nonprofits, setting the stage for the upcoming 6th annual Donate Dickinson County Day on March 15th and Scholarship Committee members who will be spending hours reviewing scholarship applications.  As the foundation celebrates its 25th year of granting, the importance of community solidarity and support has never been more evident. 

The atmosphere during these luncheons was one of shared commitment and purpose.  Organizations and individuals alike gathered to learn strategies for increasing their permanent funds and ensuring sustainability and longevity in their respective endeavors, and the scholarship committee members learned the "how-tos" of logging into the website and how to review the criteria for each scholarship.  The passion exhibited by attendees was evident, reflecting a collective dedication to the well-being of Dickinson County and its residents. 

The luncheons served as a reminder that we are not islands; instead, we are interconnected, with each member of the community serving as a vital building block of our shared future.  The strength of our village lies in the unity of its members, each contributing a unique perspective and skill set to the collective endeavor.
