Foundation Community Grants
Since 1999, the Community Foundation has granted over 14 million dollars to area nonprofits. If you are an area nonprofit (or have a fiscal agent) in Dickinson County, please take the time to fill out our grant application. We are here to support you!
You may be requested to attend a grant application review appointment with the Grant Committee. We will advise and schedule grant review appointments as we receive grant applications. Grant applications open on July 15th and are due by midnight on September 6th, 2024. The Grant Committee will review the evenings of September 16th, September 17th, and September 18th.
Grant Recipients will be required to complete a Grant Acceptance Form and Final Grant Reports online via the grant application website.
The 2024 application period is now closed.Herington Community Legacy Grant
The Herington Community Legacy Fund was established in 2019 to assist nonprofits in the Herington area. Nonprofits that meet the required eligibility may simultaneously apply for the Herington Legacy Grant and the Community Foundation's Grant Cycle.
You may be requested to attend a grant application review appointment with the Grant Committee. We will advise and schedule grant review appointments as we receive grant applications. Grant applications open on July 15th and are due by September 6th, 2024. The Grant Committee will review the evenings of September 16th, September 17th, and September 18th.
Grant Recipients will be required to complete a Grant Acceptance Form and Final Grant Reports online via the grant application website.
The 2024 application period is now closed.Youth In Action Grant
Since 1999, the Community Foundation has granted over 14 million dollars to area nonprofits. The Dickinson County Youth In Action Grant program is a competitive application for area middle and high school students, with grant awards of up to $1,000.
Grant applications will remain open until the grant funds are depleted. The grant application requires youth to apply with an adult sponsor, and a fiscal agent who is a school/city/county/non-profit entity for the project and will be in the form of a written and video submission. Grant decisions/notifications will be made as applications are approved for funding.
Grant Recipients will be required to complete the Final Grant Report video online via the grant application website. Projects must be completed, and grant reports must be submitted no later than 30 days from the project's expected completion date.
The Dickinson County Youth In Action Grant 2024 application period is now open. Applications will be accepted until 12/31/2024.
